Project Advisory

Format
Scoped engagement, typically 2–6 months
For
Companies and organisations facing a specific, time-bound project where the Africa-Europe dimension is the hard part — market entry, a new partnership, engaging a regulator, closing an investment, or building the case for board or investor approval.

Project Advisory

You have a specific project on your desk. A market to enter. A partnership to structure. A regulator to engage. An investment to close. The Africa-Europe dimension is the part that keeps going sideways.

I come in alongside your team for the duration of the project. We scope the work up front. You get senior counsel through the decisions that actually matter, from framing the problem to shaping what you put in front of the board.

The engagement stays small and senior. One advisor who knows the file, across both continents, through to the decision that closes it out.

Retainer

Format
4–6 hours per month, ongoing engagement
For
Senior leaders and small teams working either direction of the Africa-Europe relationship — shaping Africa strategy from Europe, or shaping European strategy, policy engagement, or capital raising from Africa.

Retainer Advisory

A standing monthly relationship. You get an outside view without hiring a big firm. We meet regularly. Honest analysis. A second opinion when you need one. Someone who already understands the other side.

The best advisory relationships start well before a crisis, while there is still time to shape where things are going.

Think of it as an ongoing conversation. I stay close to your situation. I read both continents. When you ask me what I think, you get a real answer.

Workshop

Format
Half-day or full-day facilitated workshop
For
Senior leadership teams working across the Africa-Europe line — European companies with African operations, African companies entering European markets or engaging European regulators and capital, DFI investees and investors, and organisations working on just transition, social licence, or community impact.

Workshops

A facilitated session where the real tensions in your strategy come into the open. Stakeholders. Operations. Regulators. The commitments leadership has already made. Your team learns to hold all of it at once and still move.

We use the case method from MBA teaching, adapted for the boardroom. The conversation gets honest quickly. That is hard for big consulting firms to deliver, especially when two continents see the same problem in completely different ways.

You leave with a sharper read on the actual problem you are trying to solve.

Research

Format
Project-based, delivered through TIGC
For
Companies, associations, regulators, and multilateral organisations — on either continent — that need high-quality, strategically framed research on Africa-Europe dynamics.

Strategic Research & Position Papers

I design and direct the research. I don't do fieldwork or sit with the data. The output is a brief your senior team will actually read, written for people who have to decide something.

Short and sharp. Around twenty pages that land. We are clear about what the evidence shows and where the gaps are. The reader is someone making a call on Monday morning.

Current topics: Africa-Europe trade and strategy. Sustainability transitions. Social impact measurement. Just transition policy. CBAM and what it means for both sides.

Immersion

Format
Single or multi-day tailored programme, on the ground
For
Companies entering a new market, groups of organisations wanting a shared experience, executives preparing for a new role, or individuals who want to understand a continent from the inside.

Immersions

You go to the places and rooms where business actually happens. You meet companies on the ground. You sit with policy experts. People talk to you honestly. The cultural context lands in a way a report cannot deliver.

I design the programme around the question you are trying to answer. My network opens doors that would take you months to open alone. Business leaders, think tanks, policy makers, faculty. I host you throughout and help you make sense of what you are seeing.

Every immersion is built fresh. Your challenge shapes the programme.
